Eco Tour 2
Abbreviations: UB-Ulaanbaatar; B-Breakfast; L-Lunch; D-Dinner.

Day 1. Arrival in UB. Transfer to a hotel. City tour of UB-highlights include Sukhbaatar Square, the Museum of Natural History where you will see artefacts from Mongolia from the Stone Age to the present and the Choijin Lama Museum. Welcome dinner in the Chinggis Restaurant. (L/D)

Day 2. Fly to Altai town of Gobi-Altai province, which is a land where the parched steppe grasslands of the Gobi meets the rocky landscape of the mountains of the Altai Range. Visit of Local Museum. We camp in the open and wonderful wildlife environment. (B/L/D)

Day 3. Drive to Shargyn Gobi (sand dunes) - 90kms wide, 120kms long it stands at 948 to 1200 meters above sea level. There we can see a saxaul forest, white tailed gazelle, and many kinds of bird. Camping in a tent. (B/L/D)

Day 4. Drive to Sutai Uul (Sutai Mountain 4090 m- snow capped mountain). We will hike up to the Sutai mountain as long as we can. Opportunity to photograph snow leopards, ibex and other wild animals. Overnight in tents. (B/L/D)

Day 5. Continues our trip to Hovd province where other mongolian ethnic groups like Khoton, Kazak, Uriankhai, Zakhchin, Myangad, Oold and Torguud people live. Hovd is almost cut in half by the mighty Mongol Altai mountain range. Arrival in the Tsenheriin agui (Blue caves). The cave is in a beautiful setting next to the Mankhan Nature Reserve. Hiking in the vicinity and visit a local herder's family. Catching live moments of herder 's everyday activity for photographing. Overnight close to herder's settlement (nearby the stream), which enables us to watch and explore real nomadic way of life. (B/L/D)

Day 6. Drive to Har Us Lake. This is the 2nd largest freshwater lake in Mongolia. Hovd river flows into this lake, creating a giant delta with an island - the 270 sq. km Agbash mountain (1440 m) - to the north east of the lake. Har Us lake is the perfect habitat for wild ducks, geese, wood grouses, partridges and seagulls, including the rear Relict Gull and Herring gull. Also antelopes, rear species of migratory pelicans, falcons and bustards are proposed to protect within a National Park. The best place to see a birdlife is where the delta of the Hovd River enters the lake. Overnight in tents. (B/L/D)

Day 7. Drive to Hovd City. Visit of the Local Museum: it has good geology exhibit collection of stuffed wildlife, including an ibex, ethnic costumes and artifacts, and a snow leopard. Drive to Shar sum monastery in 10km from the town. The Monastery was built in 1770 and was reopened in 1990 and is once again active after its destruction during the Communist purges. Overnight in a local hotel. (B/L/D)

Day 8. Fly back to UB. Transfer to a hotel. Rest. At 18:00 Mongolian National Ensemle concert. (B/L/D)

Day 9. Visit the Gandan Monastery for a morning Buddhist Ceremony, the Mongolian Shaman centre and the Winter Palace of Bogd khan Museum. Shopping in Mongolian pure cashmere, leather and souvenir shops. Farewell dinner in an oriental restaurant. (B/L/D)

Day 10. Transfer to the airport/ train station depart or follow by other Baila tour.
